These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Kuron (the “App”), owned and operated by Epiphyte Gens LLC, a limited liability company registered in Miami, Florida, USA.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Kuron.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

  • You meet the minimum age requirement

  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

  • You are using the App in compliance with applicable laws

2. Description of the Service

Kuron is a gratitude and habit-building application designed to help users develop a daily gratitude practice by reducing distractions.

The App allows users to:

  • Block selected apps during defined timeframes

  • Receive prompts to reflect before accessing locked apps

  • Create gratitude entries (typed or voice-to-text)

  • Store and review personal gratitude history

  • Categorize entries (e.g., work, relationships, health, personal growth)

  • Track habits, streaks, and engagement

  • Participate in an optional anonymous community

The App may use:

  • Screen Time APIs (iOS)

  • Usage Access permissions (Android)

  • Accessibility Services (Android, if enabled)

  • Overlay permissions (Android)

  • Microphone access (for voice-to-text input)

  • Location services (if enabled)

You acknowledge that these permissions are necessary for core functionality.

3. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Selecting which apps to block

  • Configuring schedules and lock rules

  • Choosing how and when to engage with gratitude prompts

  • The content of your gratitude entries

  • Deciding whether to share entries in the community

You acknowledge that:

  • App blocking may restrict access to apps you rely on

  • Improper configuration may temporarily limit app access

  • Gratitude prompts are optional and do not restrict permanent device usage

We are not responsible for outcomes related to your habits, productivity, or emotional state.

4. Gratitude Content & Community Use

You retain ownership of the content you create, including gratitude entries.

By using the App, you agree that:

  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content solely to operate and improve the App

  • If you choose to share entries in the community, they may be displayed anonymously

  • You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights

You may not:

  • Post harmful, abusive, or unlawful content

  • Share content that infringes intellectual property rights

  • Attempt to identify or expose other users

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

5. No Mental Health or Medical Advice

Kuron is a wellness and habit-building tool, not a medical or mental health service.

  • The App does not provide psychological, psychiatric, or medical advice

  • Gratitude prompts and insights are not a substitute for professional care

  • If you are experiencing mental health concerns, you should seek a qualified professional

6. No Guarantee of App Blocking or Habit Outcomes

While Kuron is designed to guide behavior and reduce distractions:

  • We do not guarantee complete or uninterrupted app blocking

  • Device limitations, OS updates, or configurations may affect functionality

  • Users may bypass restrictions through system-level actions

  • We do not guarantee improvements in mood, productivity, or well-being

7. Microphone & Voice Input

If you use voice input:

  • Audio may be processed to convert speech into text

  • Only the transcribed text is stored unless explicitly stated

  • We do not guarantee transcription accuracy

You are responsible for reviewing and editing your entries.

8. Location-Based Features

If you enable location-based features:

  • You consent to the use of location data

  • Location is used solely for feature functionality and security

You may disable location access at any time.

We are not responsible for inaccuracies in location data.

9. Accounts & Authentication

You may access Kuron through:

  • Google Sign-In

  • Sign in with Apple

  • Other supported authentication providers

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality

  • All activity under your account

  • Notifying us at support@epiphytegens.com of unauthorized access

10. Subscriptions & Payments

Kuron may offer free and paid features.

If you purchase a subscription:

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled

  • You must manage cancellations through your app store account

  • Refunds are governed by Apple or Google policies

We do not process payments directly.

11. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer or exploit the App

  • Bypass or disable enforcement mechanisms

  • Misuse system permissions (e.g., accessibility services)

  • Use the App for unlawful or harmful purposes

  • Manipulate engagement, streaks, or analytics artificially

Violation may result in suspension or termination.

12. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, branding, and software are owned by Epiphyte Gens LLC.

You may not:

  • Copy

  • Modify

  • Distribute

  • Sell

  • Exploit

Any part of the App without authorization.

13. Data & Privacy

Your use of Kuron is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the App, you acknowledge that:

  • Gratitude entries and usage data are processed

  • Voice input may be converted to text

  • App usage and device data may be collected

  • Tracking technologies may be used (with consent where required)

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

  • If you violate these Terms

  • If you misuse system permissions

  • If required by law

  • If we discontinue the App

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ends immediately

  • You may request deletion of your data

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

Kuron is provided:

“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”

We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Accuracy of insights or prompts

  • Reliability of app blocking

  • Continuous or error-free operation

  • Suitability for your personal goals

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Epiphyte Gens LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Loss of access to apps

  • Emotional distress

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Device conflicts or malfunctions

Your sole remedy is to stop using the App.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Epiphyte Gens LLC from any claims arising from:

  • Your misuse of the App

  • Your content or community activity

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of third-party rights

18. Changes to the Service

We may:

  • Modify features

  • Add or remove functionality

  • Change pricing

  • Discontinue the App

At any time without prior notice.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.

Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of changes.
